You search for your own company and find nothing. The website exists, it looks good in a browser, yet Google barely knows it is there. One of the most common reasons is invisible to visitors: the page arrives empty and builds itself with JavaScript afterwards.
How to check your own site
- Open your website, right-click and choose “View page source”.
- Look for your headline and service descriptions in that source.
- If you only see a few script tags and an empty container, search engines and link previews are seeing the same emptiness.

Why it matters
Search engines can run JavaScript, but it is slower, deferred and less reliable than reading HTML. Social apps such as WhatsApp and Facebook usually do not run it at all, so shared links show no title or image. Every page also looks identical at first glance, which weakens how each one ranks.
What server rendering changes
With server rendering, each page is delivered as complete HTML: headline, text, links and metadata are all there on arrival. Visitors see content immediately on slow connections, search engines index each page properly and link previews work everywhere.
The rest of the foundation
- A unique title and description for every page.
- A correct sitemap listed in robots.txt.
- One canonical address (with or without www, not both).
- Structured data describing your organisation and services.
- Fast loading on mobile networks.
None of this replaces useful content, but without it even the best content struggles to be found.
